THE GRAHAM COMPANIES

CHALLENGE:
Position the Graham Companies’ long-standing family vision to create a live-work-and-play environment for the tri-county area. 

Create awareness of the diversity and mix of quality properties available, attracting prospective buyers and renters of commercial, industrial, and home properties, as well as "move up" opportunities for residents and tenants.

APPROACH:
Identify media opportunities to position Miami Lakes as the "new town" development and South Florida’s future.

Capitalize on existing promotional activities such as the Miami Children's Hospital Telethon and Christmas Pageant, as well as create new opportunities such as a CEO tour, Dairy Festival, and sports packages.

Spearhead efforts to create a unified brand for Miami Lakes, including all commercial, retail, residential, and industrial properties.

Provide crisis management services as needed.

RESULTS:
Secured media coverage in The Miami Herald, South Florida Business Journal, The Review, Miami Today, Diario Las Americas and Unique Homes.

Initiated regular production of a Miami Lakes calendar listing all events for residents, tenants (residential and commercial), employees and customers.

Created new media opportunities by offering experts from various Graham Companies for stories on trends in northwest Miami-Dade County, landscaping commercial developments, mixed-use centers, and milestone announcements.

Provided crisis management when a small plane from a local private airport crashed into one of the residential developments.

HEITMAN RETAIL PROPERTIES’ EXPANSION OF THE FALLS SHOPPING CENTER

CHALLENGE:
Position Heitman Retail Properties/The Falls Shopping Center as a good neighbor and corporate citizen through increased communications to surrounding neighborhoods opposed to the expansion, particularly Macy’s. 

APPROACH:
Organize community forums with key management to address the concerns of the neighborhood. 

Compile an analysis of neighborhood issues and acceptable solutions to present to management and the neighborhood.

Provide media relations support and training to help management to deal effectively with negative publicity pertaining to the expansion.

Organize a press conference to announce the proposed construction of Macy's.

RESULTS:
Approval of The Falls Shopping Center expansion.

Favorable media coverage pertaining to the expansion and construction of Macy's.

AWARENESS OF S&K GROUP AND ITS VARIOUS INVESTMENTS IN FLORIDA: S&K GROUP OF GERMANY IS AN INFLUENTIAL INTERNATIONAL INVESTMENT GROUP WITH VARIOUS REAL ESTATE PROPERTIES AND VENTURES IN FLORIDA.

CHALLENGE:
Provide media exposure in the tri-county area of Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach for an international company based in Germany that has millions invested in Florida. The company was a virtual unknown real estate giant in the Florida market and chose to make its announcement the week of 9/11. 

Generate attention and media for S&K’s many investments and partnerships, including a joint venture with the Rockefeller Group in a Free Trade Zone in West Palm Beach, a 171-acre parcel with approximately 2 million square feet of land for the development of warehouses and distribution centers.

Position S&K as a prominent real estate company in Florida.

APPROACH:
Secured media interviews with S&K heads and Rockefeller Group officials regarding their joint venture, Rockefeller Group Foreign Trade Zone/Palm Beach. 

Issued press releases on S&K’s sales, acquisitions and management takeovers for various properties, establishing S&K as a big player in Florida’s real estate market.

RESULTS:
Strategic media placements on S&K and the Rockefeller venture in the tri-county area. 

Media coverage of S&K’s sales, acquisitions and management of various properties published in The Palm Beach Post, Sun-Sentinel, South Florida Business Journal and El Nuevo Herald.
