Finance & Banking

Since ECA's inception 70 years ago, the firm has represented nearly two dozen financial institutions. Under the leadership of chairman Dana Clay, Everett Clay Associates has worked with start-up institutions and firmly established entities as well as the Resolution Trust Corporation and FDIC in takeover situations.

Banking institutions include TotalBank, Republic National Bank of Miami, AmeriFirst Bank, Popular Bancshares, Peoples Bank, Plaza Bank, Chase Bank, Credit Suisse and Bank of North America, where Ms. Clay served on the founding board of directors for six years, served on the audit committee and was elected chairperson of the CRA committee.

In addition to banking entities, the firm has also represented various product and market segments in the financial sector including a municipal bond firm and a pension management company.

Due to the sophisticated investment activities of a longtime client, ECA gained communications experience not ordinarily found outside of New York City when the client undertook a proxy battle with Southeast Banking Corporation (NYSE: STB) and engaged in other investment activities with American Medical International (AMEX: AMI), AmeriFirst Bank (NASDAQ: AMERI), Spanish International Network (SIN), Atlantic Federal Savings and Loan, and Florida Commercial Bank.

Another qualification in financial expertise is the firm's experience with communications directed to high-end individuals. The firm has implemented marketing and communications activities that have reached high-net-worth individuals and have affected the bottom line for clients.
